Toronto's Hip Hop Trio, Swamp Thing, return on Halloween with new album “Slap Slap”. Recorded in the summer of 2024 in Muskoka at 'The Cabin', and at Timbuktu's studio, 'FUN', in downtown Toronto, "Slap Slap" promises a unique and exhilarating listening experience.

As Chokules describes the recording process, "Making the album was incredible as always. Starting with the trip up to northern Ontario to lay down the bulk of the album, and completing the record at the studio in Toronto. The process is always enjoyable, basically just a bunch of old friends trying to impress one another and make each other laugh."

Timbuktu adds, "Savillion is an early riser, so while me, and sometimes Chokules were sleeping it off, Savillion would just slap out a few beats up there on the spot. A little later when everybody was awake, we'd pick one and start writing and recording bars. It was a typical Swamp Thing recording process, but even more spontaneous this time.”

"This album is a fun-loving, face-punching, and forehead-scrunching experience," adds Chokules. “The beats alone are enough to slap the fur off a wild yak, but add in the chemistry of longtime collaborators rapping their asses off, plus another batch of glorious cuts from the best DJ on the planet, and you've got a beast of an album. Slap Slap. Hopefully people just enjoy the hell out of it, and bump it loudly wherever a good time is being had.”
